New Delhi: India's ​Reliance Industries plans ​to shut a ​crude unit and some secondary units at its 660,000 barrels per ‌day refinery ⁠for ⁠three to four weeks later ​this month for routine maintenance, four ​sources familiar with the matter said.

* Reliance, operator of ​the world's biggest ⁠refining complex, has ‌two equal-sized ​crude ​distillation units at ⁠the refinery, which mainly supply refined fuels ​for Indian markets.


* Reliance's ​complex also has a 704,000 bpd export-focused refinery.

* Maintenance shutdown will start around mid-May after ‌the private firm Nayara Energy resumes operations at its 400,000 bpd refinery ⁠to avoid any shortage of fuel in the country, one of the sources said.
