Reliance Industries' Nagothane plant to remain shut for 4 weeks from mid-January

MUMBAI: Reliance Industries will shutdown its Nagothane manufacturing site for four weeks beginning mid-January for routine maintenance and turnaround activities, the company said on Saturday.

With advance planning and inventory management, impact on external sales is likely to be minimal," Reliance said in a statement.

The company said that the shutdown would be used to carry out routine maintenance activities and for implementing other profit improvement and energy conservation measures. RIL''s crackers and other downstream units at other locations will continue at normal levels of operations.

Shares of RIL closed Friday at Rs 889 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, up 0.25% from the previous close.
