Rel to tap global mkts for petroleum products

Reliance Industries on Tuesday said it has trading subsidiaries in London and Singapore to market fuel produced from its export oriented refineries at Jamnagar.

NEW DELHI: Reliance Industries on Tuesday said it has trading subsidiaries in London and Singapore to market fuel produced from its export oriented refineries at Jamnagar.

The wholly-owned subsidiaries have been incorporated "in an effort to tap the emerging opportunities in global markets of petroleum products," a company release said here.

Reliance Global Energy Services, London would be headed by Peter Ward, a veteran in the industry who was formerly the President of Shell Tradings Gas and Power division while Reliance Global Energy Services Singapore Pte Ltd, Singapore, would be headed by Michael Ng.

Ng was till recently the President of Fair Energy. He has also been the Head of Shells International Aviation business in Asia.
