OVL wins two oil blocks in Columbia

NEW DELHI: ONGC Videsh Ltd, the overseas arm of state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC), has won two oil blocks in Columbia.
Colombia's National Hydrocarbons Agency awarded the RC10 Caribbean oil block to a OVL and Ecopetrol of Columbia, OVL chief executive officer R S Butola told reporters here.
It awarded RC8 offshore oil block to a consortium of Petrobras of Brazil, OVL and Ecopetrol.
Columbia yesterday awarded 13 offshore oil and gas exploration blocks in the Caribbean sea to companies like BP and Petrobras.
