ONGC orders enquiry to ascertain cause of fire at Assam station

GUWAHATI: ONGC orders high level enquiry to ascertain cause of fire at Group Gathering Station)-III under Geleky Oil-field Area. Two persons died in the incident.

According to ONGC statement the reasons of fire are not known. Fire broke out at around 5 PM on Thursday. The statement added that a high level Enquiry Committee has been set up to ascertain the reasons behind the fire.

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has asked the top brass in the police administration to beef up security following a grenade blast at Digboi in Tinsukia district in which three kids died on January 9 last. The Chief Minister also instructed the DGP to take all possible measures to foil the sinister designs of the anti-national forces and to ensure that no such incidents recur in the future.
