ONGC bids for 45 blocks in NELP VI
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has bid for the maximum number of oil and gas blocks offered under the sixth auction of NELP which also saw foreign giants Total of France, British Petroleum, British Gas, ENI of Italy placing bids.
NEW DELHI: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has bid for the maximum number of oil and gas blocks offered under the sixth auction of NELP which also saw foreign giants Total of France, British Petroleum, British Gas, ENI of Italy placing bids.
ONGC partnered with BP, BG, ENI for putting in bids for deep sea block and had Cairn Energy of UK, GAIL, HPCL and Oil India Ltd as partner for other offshore and onland blocks.
Sources said Reliance Industries put in bids for about 20 blocks while Anil Ambani Group's RNRL placed bids for 12 blocks (none of them being deep water blocks).
ONGC placed bids for about 45 blocks out of the 55 oil and gas blocks on offer in NELP VI.
A BP spokesperson said the company had bid for 2 Mahanadi basin deep water block with ONGC.
Other companies putting in bids include GSPC, Videocon and Tata Petrodyne.
The Anil Ambani Group tied up with Ukraine's Naftogaz for putting in the bids.
