NTPC-RIL trial on December 4

Justice Anoop Mohta has asked the parties to decide which documents submitted by either of them will be admitted or denied by the other.

MUMBAI: The Bombay High Court, on Wednesday, held that it will frame additional issues for the trial in a dispute for gas supply between state-run NTPC and Reliance Industries (RIL) on December 4, reports Our Bureau.

Justice Anoop Mohta has asked the parties to decide which documents submitted by either of them will be admitted or denied by the other.

The proceedings were adjourned with the consent of both the parties, as NTPC, on Wednesday, filed its rejoinder to the amendment RIL made in its written submissions. RIL and NTPC are battling over the gas supply agreement from the former’s Krishna Godavari (KG) basin find at $2.34 per mmscmd for a period of 17 years.

RIL has included the EGoM’s decision on gas supply and pricing policy in its amended written submissions, which state that gas will not be sold below a price of $4.20 per mmscmd.
