MRPL pays Rs 100.43 crore to ONGC as dividend

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL), a subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC) has a paid a dividend of Rs 100.43 crore to ONGC for the year 2006-07.

MANGALORE: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL), a subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC) has a paid a dividend of Rs 100.43 crore to ONGC for the year 2006-07.

R S Sharma, CMD, ONGC, who is also the chairman of MRPL received the cheque from R Rajamani, MD, MRPL in the presence of L K Gupta, Director (finance), MRPL, a press release from the company said here on Tuesday.

In 2006-07, MRPL earned a net profit of Rs 525.52 crore after tax as against Rs 371.61 crore in the previous fiscal. the turnover reached a record high of Rs 32,377 crore with export earnings at Rs 11,615 crore during the year. Domestic direct marketing sales reached Rs 1908 crore as against Rs 1411 crore in the previous year, an increase of 35 per cent, the release said.
