More than 90% of petrol pumps in Jalandhar dried up
Strike by the officers of Oil companies have left 90% petrol pumps Jalandhar dried and long queues were seen in the pumps owned by the Hindustan Petroleum.
As soon as shortage of petroleum products was flashed on the electronic media, vehicle owners, who were having petrol needle of their vehicle near empty rushed to the petrol pumps and even early morning long queues were seen outside the petrol outlets.
News regarding calling off the strike by the employees of Bharat Petroleum, brought relief to the people and supply to the BP petrol pumps of the city restored around 1 p.m.
Out of total 37 petrol pumps of the city, 34 went dry and only three of HP were operational, Manmohan Sehgal, Office Bearer of the Petroleum Dealers Association told PTI.
In the evening the supply of petrol pumps of HP and BP was normal.
