L&T bags major offshore orders worth Rs 5,000-10,000 crore from ONGC for pipeline replacement

The orders, classified as "Major" under L&T's internal order classification, are valued in the range of Rs 5,000-10,000 crore, according to the filing.

L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore (LTEH Offshore) will execute the orders, which cover two projects, the Pipeline Replacement Project (PRP-X) and the Well Head Platforms Project, both located off India's west coast, the company said.
PRP-X involves engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) of multiple subsea pipeline segments, along with associated modification works across ONGC's offshore fields, as per the release. The Well Head Platforms Project entails EPCIC of four well head platforms.
Parthasarathi Chatterjee, senior vice president and head of L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore, said the orders reaffirm the business's position as a partner in the development of India's offshore energy infrastructure. He added that the wins reflect customer confidence in the company's integrated EPCIC capabilities, project execution experience and focus on safety and operational excellence.

LTEH Offshore has executed offshore projects including fixed platforms, subsea pipelines and structures, brownfield upgrades and decommissioning assignments over the past four decades, the company said, citing in-house engineering capabilities, fabrication facilities and a marine vessel fleet.
L&T is a $32 billion Indian multinational conglomerate with operations spanning EPC projects, hi-tech manufacturing, products and services across multiple geographies, according to the filing.
