LPG sees price drop of more than Rs 160 per cylinder

Prices of LPG cylinder saw a huge drop of over Rs 160 per cylinder. With the revised prices, the cost of an LPG cylinder in Delhi has fallen to Rs 581.50 from Rs 744 earlier giving huge relief to consumers.

The prices of LPG are revised on the first of every month.

This is the third consecutive month in which the LPG prices have been revised downwards. The Oil Marketing Companies have reduced the prices in other cities also. In Mumbai, LPG cylinder now costs Rs 579, as compared to Rs 714.50 earlier.


Consumers are entitled to 12 subsidised LPG cylinders in a year.

The downward revision comes in the wake of world energy prices witnessing weakness.
