LPG Price hike: Commercial cylinders to cost Rs 266 more

The price of Liquified Petroleum Gas cylinders has been hiked by Rs 266.

This hike, however, does not affect household consumers as the prices of commercial cylinders have been increased.

A 19 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi, which used to cost Rs 1734, will now cost Rs 2000.50 after the hike. In Mumbai, a commercial LPG cylinder now costs Rs 1950. In Kolkata, a 19-kg commercial cylinder now costs Rs 2,073.50 and in Chennai its price has increased to Rs 2,133.


Last month, the prices of subsidized and non-subsidized LPG were hiked by Rs 25. A cylinder of subsidized LPG for a household now costs Rs 205. The government subsidy is on 12 cylinders of 14.2 kg for each household.
