Linde group to invest Euro one bn in BOC India
Industrial gases major Linde Group of Germany would invest around Euro one billion in its Indian subsidiary BOC India to fund domestic growth plans.
Managing director of Linde Gas Asia Pte Limited (South and East Asia) Sanjeev Lamba told reporters on the sidelines of the company's annual general meeting here today that the Group would invest the money over a period of seven to 10 years.
The money would be used to fund the company's plan to set up plants across the country, Lamba said, adding that the steel sector was the major user industry for BOC India.
Other sectors like oil, pharmaceuticals and renewable energy also had the potential for growth for the company.
He also said that the bio fuel sector also promises good growth, besides the petrochemical sector.
There was no plan to delist from the stock exchanges and shift the registered office out of Kolkata, he added.
