GUWAHATI: Indian Oil corporation Limited's Guwahati Refinery has announced that it has got project clearance by conducting a public hearing for proposed project INDAdeptG which will be responsible for desulphurization of Indmax heavy gasoline to reduce sulfur content from 1000 ppm to 50ppm.

According to the refinery the process can reduce sulfur content to meet product gasoline sulfur specification of Euro IV/ V quality. The public hearing was presided over by Mr. Nareswar Uppadhya, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup Metro.

According to the refinery general people around the Refinery and several NGO's from neighborhood also participated and raised number of questions, which were answered by Guwahati Refinery Representatives. On being satisfied, the large gathering present at the venue accepted the New Project proposal without any objection.
