Indrajit Banerjee to be Cairn CFO

MUMBAI: Cairn India has appointed Indrajit Banerjee as CFO of the company. He is expected to join the board of directors of Cairn India.

Mr Banerjee will replace Jann Brown, who will step down as interim CFO of Cairn India. The appointment of Mr Banerjee will be effective from March 1, 2007.

Mr Banerjee, a chartered accountant and commerce graduate from University of Calcutta started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1979 and has held several senior posts throughout his career.
