India's crude oil production rises by 3.2 pc in May
Good performance by ONGC helps India increase it's crude oil production by 3.2 per cent.

NEW DELHI: India's crude oil production rose by 3.2 per cent in May on back of better performance by state owned oil major Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC), while refinery output remained unchanged.
The nation produced 2.908 million tons crude in May, up from 2.818 million tons a year ago, according to the latest data released by Petroleum Ministry.
ONGC's crude production rose 6.1 per cent to 1.3 million tons.During April-May, crude output increased 2.1 per cent to 5.781 million tons.
The nation's 17 public sector and two private sector refiners produced 13.344 million tons in May, almost unchanged from May 2007.
Reliance Industries' Jamnagar refinery produced 1.3 per cent more fuel at 3.18 million tons. The refinery's output was up 2.1 per cent at 26.396 million tons in April-May.
In May, the refineries operated at 105.6 per cent of their capacity and at 104.1 per cent in April-May.
Natural gas production rose 10.2 per cent to 2,887 million cubic meters in May and by 10.1 per cent in April-May to 5,679 million cubic meters.
