OPEC Secretary General Abdallah al-Badri rules out claims that China and India are responsible for rise in international oil prices.

RIYADH: OPEC Secretary General Abdallah al-Badri on Wednesday denied claims that China and India are responsible for the rise in international oil prices.

In an exclusive statement to Xinhua, al-Badri dismissed the allegations that China and India were responsible for the soaring oil prices, adding that the consumption of the two countries is normal and just in line with their demands.

The chief of the oil cartel made the remarks during the preparatory meetings for the 3rd OPEC summit in Riyadh.
