In talks with govt to sustain operations: Nayara Energy

Russia's Rosneft-backed refiner Nayara Energy on Thursday said it was talking to government authorities and partners to maintain operational stability of its 20 million tonnes per annum refinery and fuel supplies.

The private refiner which was sanctioned by the EU last month, sells about 70% of its refined fuels through over 6,600 retail outlets and exports the rest.

"In face of unjust sanctions by European Union our refinery is operating at a healthy run rate and we continue to supply oil and oil products across India to meet the demands of our Indian consumers," the company said in a statement, adding that it is supplying fuels to its retail stations through coastal, rail, and road networks.
