IGL committed to providing PNG to all technically feasible areas of Delhi: M Veerappa Moily

NEW DELHI: Oil Minister Veerappa Moily has told the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday that Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) would provide piped natural gas or PNG connections to all feasible areas in New Delhi.

Replying to specific query regarding Kapashera village of Delhi, he said IGL's pipeline network laying work was in progress near Samalkha crossing, two kilometers form Kapashera village.

IGL is committed to providing PNG connections to all technically feasible areas of Delhi, he said.

"Supply of PNG at various locations is dependent on various factors like technical feasibility, availability of digging permission from civic agencies and customer response," he said. The areas not meeting safety guidelines would not be connected with PNG.
