HPCL, BPCL seek Oct crude in tender: Traders

State-run refiners Hindustan Petroleum Corp (HPCL) and Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd have issued separate tenders to import crude oil for October loading, traders said on Wednesday.

LONDON: State-run refiners Hindustan Petroleum Corp (HPCL) and Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd have issued separate tenders to import crude oil for October loading, traders said on Wednesday. Both tenders will close August 27 and offers will remain valid until August 28, they said.

They were looking to buy medium and light sweet West African and Asia Pacific crude. In the previous tenders, BPCL bought 950,000 barrels of Nigerian Forcados for September from BP at dated Brent plus $4.97 a barrel.

HPCL bought 1 million barrels of Nigerian Qua Iboe for September-loading from trading house Vitol at dated Brent plus $3.
