Gail to transmit 81.5 mmscmd of gas a day in 2008-09

State-run gas utility GAIL India will transmit around 81.5 million standard cubic meters of gas per day in 2008-09 fiscal, according to the annual performance MoU the company signed with the government on Tuesday.

NEW DELHI: State-run gas utility GAIL India will transmit around 81.5 million standard cubic meters of gas per day in 2008-09 fiscal, according to the annual performance MoU the company signed with the government on Tuesday.

The MoU was signed by Petroleum Secretary M S Srinivasan and GAIL Chairman and Managing Director U D Choubey, a company press release said here.

During the 2008-09, to achieve the excellence in performance, the Company has targeted for gas transmission of around 81.5 mmscmd. It includes the gas marketing target of around 70 mmscmd. The MoU also provides for an "Excellent" production target of 390,000 tons of Polymers (HDPE & LLDPE) and 1,260,000 tons of Liquid Hydrocarbons.

The companys performance will be assessed on key financial parameters and also dynamic and sector / enterprise-specific parameters such as gas sourcing, E&P and CBM, City Gas Projects, pipeline projects implementation, business development & globalisation, safety, customer focus and quality management, the release said.
