GAIL to form joint venture for gas supply in Vadodara
GAIL and Vadodara Municipal Corporation will jointly form a new firm for supply of piped natural gas in the city.

VADODARA: State-run gas company GAIL and Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) will jointly form a new firm which will supply piped natural gas in the city and surrounding areas.
Signing and exchanging of share agreement between GAIL and VMC for the new venture will take place tomorrow, said Manish Bhardwaj, Municipal Commissioner, today.
The pact will be signed in the presence of Saurabh Patel, Gujarat Energy Minister.
"The proposed company aims at providing gas to the city and surrounding areas for domestic, non-domestic and industrial purposes," Bhardwaj said.
The firm is expected to initially provide over 85,000 gas connections in the city.
