GAIL proposal after a few more meetings: Partha Chatterjee

GAIL revived their 7-yr proposal to bring gas and proposes to bring Hazira-Bijapur-Jagdishpur gas pipeline to Haldia and acquire GCGS Corporation.

KOLKATA: GAIL India Ltd's proposal to invest in West Bengal will be submitted by the company after a few more meetings, state industry minister Partha Chatterjee said here today.

"Two meeting have been held with officials of GAIL India since their CMD met Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Two more meetings will be held at official level of both sides and then GAIL will submit proposal," he said on the sidelines of ICC AGM.

GAIL was supposed to submit their proposal two weeks ago. The company revived their seven-year proposal to bring gas and proposes to bring Hazira-Bijapur-Jagdishpur gas pipeline to Haldia and acquire Greater Calcutta Gas Supply Corporation.
