Some oil loading operations in the United Arab Emirates' Fujairah emirate, a major bunkering hub outside the Strait of Hormuz, have been suspended after ‌a drone attack and fire on Saturday morning, Bloomberg News reported on ‌Saturday citing people familiar with the matter.

The attacks come after US forces struck Iran’s Kharg Island, vital to the country’s oil exports. Iran said in response that any strike on oil and energy infrastructure would lead to attacks on US-linked energy facilities in the region.

The fire occurred after debris fell during the interception of a drone. Emirates Media office said that no injuries were reported. It added that civil defence forces are handling the incident to contain the fire.
