The Empowered Committee of Secretaries has cleared Cairn India's proposal to lay a 800 million dollar pipeline for transporting crude oil from its Rajasthan oil fields and recover the cost through sale of crude.

NEW DELHI: The Empowered Committee of Secretaries on Monday cleared Cairn India's proposal to lay a 800 million dollar pipeline for transporting crude oil from its Rajasthan oil fields and recover the cost through sale of crude.

The committee cleared the project after considering the proposal to shift crude oil delivery point from the Rajasthan field flange to Salaya in Gujarat, with the cost of laying the 585-km pipeline from Barmer to the new sale point included in the field development cost.
