Ellenbarrie Industrial Gases inks JV
Industrial and medical gases manufacturer Ellenbarrie Industrial Gases Limited on Thursday entered into an agreement with German company Lorch Welding Technique Gmbh to set up a welding solution centre in West Bengal.

KOLKATA: Industrial and medical gases manufacturer Ellenbarrie Industrial Gases Limited on Thursday entered into an agreement with German company Lorch Welding Technique Gmbh to set up a welding solution centre in West Bengal.
The welding unit would come up at Ellenbarrie Industrial Gases' facility at Uluberia in the state.
Joint Managing Director of Ellenbarrie Indrajit Mookherjee said the centre would give tremendous synergy to the operations of the company as the client basket was common for both.
The German firm would have 51 per cent stake in the joint venture and its Indian counterpart will have 49 per cent.
West Bengal Industry Minister Nirupam Sen, who was present at the occasion, said the welding industry in the state would get a boost as a number of auto component manufacturing companies were coming to West Bengal.
He said the priority of the state government was to promote the manufacturing industry.
