Dikshit, Deora to assess the demand-supply situation of CNG

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and Petroleum Minister Murli Deora will visit the CNG filling stations in the city to assess the demand-supply situation of the green fuel.

NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and Petroleum Minister Murli Deora will visit the CNG filling stations in the city to assess the demand-supply situation of the green fuel.


"I have also read that due to increased demand, green fuel seems to be in short supply. To assess of the situation, petroleum minister and I have decided to take a round of the refilling (CNG) stations," Dikshit said here on the sideline of a function.

Accordingly appropriate measures will be taken, she added.

Long queues are seen at CNG filling stations recently as there is a short supply in the fuel. The demand for the fuel is increasing because of the government's emphasis to promote CNG vehicles in the capital.
