Delay in starting of gas production in RIL's D6 field

NEW DELHI: Reliance Industries is facing slight delay in beginning of gas production from its prolific D6 field because of technical reasons, Petroleum Secretary R S Pandey said.

"I have been told that there is a little bit of delay in gas production because of technical reasons," Pandey said.

Reliance is now likely to begin gas production from its D6 fields by October-end as against July.

Pandey said there will be no penalty for the delay.
