Commercial LPG cylinders hiked by Rs 100; will cost Rs 2,101 in Delhi

The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders for commercial usage was hiked by Rs 100 per cylinder in the second price increase since November 1. The price of the 19-kg cylinder will now cost Rs 2,101 in Delhi.

LPG cylinder rates are revised monthly for all the States and Union Territories in India. The price of LPG cylinders in Mumbai is Rs 2,051 per cylinder, while in Kolkata Rs 2,174.50 and in Chennai Rs 2,234.50. Meanwhile, there was no increase in the price of other domestic cylinders weighing 14.2 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg composite or 5 kg composite cylinders.

On November 1, prices of the 19 kg commercial cylinder saw a steep rise of Rs 266, taking the cost to Rs 2,000.50. On October 1, the cylinders rates were increased by Rs 43 and then consequently decreased by Rs 2.50 on October 6.
