CNG rates slashed in Delhi-NCR by Rs 2.5; effective from March 7

Indraprastha Gas Ltd on Wednesday slashed the prices of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) by Rs 2.5 in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), applicable from 06.00 a.m. on March 7.

The revised rate of CNG in Delhi will is now Rs 74.09 per kg from the earlier Rs 76.59 per kg. Meanwhile, in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad the price has been revised from Rs 81.20 per kg to Rs 78.70 per kg. 3.

In Gurugram, CNG will cost Rs 80.12 per kg from Rs 82.62 per kg. In Rewari, the gas prices have been reduced from Rs 81.20 per kg to Rs 78.70 per kg. Lastly, in Karnal and Kaithal the rates have been revised from Rs 82.93 to Rs 80.43 per kg.


On March 5, Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) had slashed the CNG prices by Rs 2.5 to Rs 73.50/kg, citing that the reduction in CNG price would help to increase the consumption of natural gas in transportation segment, which is a step towards making India cleaner and greener.
