CNG 30p cheaper in NCR after excise cut

The 2% excise duty cut in the Budget has brought down the cost of compressed natural gas (CNG).

NEW DELHI: The 2% excise duty cut in the Budget has brought down the cost of compressed natural gas (CNG). Indraprastha Gas, the company that sells CNG to automobiles in the NCR has slashed the price of the fuel by Re 0.30 per kg to Rs 18.90 per kg.

���We have decided to pass on the reduction in excise duty to our customers,��� IGL managing director Om Narayan said. The new price is effective from Tuesday.

Mr Narayan, however, clarified there would be no revision in the price of piped natural gas being supplied to domestic and commercial consumers.
