India's Bharat Petroleum Corp will begin commercial production from its new 120,000 barrels-per-day refinery in central India from March, its chief said on Thursday.

NEW DELHI: India's Bharat Petroleum Corp will begin commercial production from its new 120,000 barrels-per-day refinery in central India from March, its chief said on Thursday.

"Mechanically, it will be completed in December and it will take about three months to stabilise," Ashok Sinha told reporters.

The refinery in Bina, Madhya Pradesh, is 95 per cent complete and testing of some units would begin next month, Sinha added.
