BP says making efforts to ramp up gas output at KG-D6

NEW DELHI: UK's BP plc today said it along with its partner Reliance Industries making efforts to improve gas output at their flagging eastern offshore KG-D6 fields.

"We are working closely with the Government of India and making all efforts to find technical solutions to improve production from the D6 block," BP said in a statement.

BP said it and RIL jointly attended a meeting convened by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) on July 13 to discuss outstanding issues of KG-D6 block.

"This meeting was productive and part of an ongoing interaction led by the MoPNG to timely deliver existing and future projects to produce discovered resources," the statement said.
