Bharat Petroleum outlets to offer money transfer services

State-run Bharat Petroleum on Tuesday said it has entered into an agreement with Airwings Services, part of MoneyGram International, to offer international money transfer service in select retail outlets.

MUMBAI: State-run Bharat Petroleum on Tuesday said it has entered into an agreement with Airwings Services, part of MoneyGram International, to offer international money transfer service in select retail outlets.

"We are pleased to offer MoneyGram International money transfer services through our extensive nationwide reach. Adding MoneyGram's money transfer service will add value to our customers and widen the array of services that we offer them," Bharat Petroleum General Manager George Paul said in a release here.

MoneyGram plans to expand its base in Tier II and Tier III cities in the next few years. This alliance would support MoneyGram's network expansion plans in India.

"The tie-up with Bharat Petroleum is a step in this direction," MoneyGram Regional Director Harsh Lambah said.
