Balmer Lawrie is looking to aggressively expand its distribution network as part of the company's strategy to double its market share over the next five years.

KOLKATA: Balmer Lawrie is looking to aggressively market ' Balmerol' brand of lubricants and expand its distribution network as part of the company's strategy to double its market share over the next five years.

Elaborating on the plans, Balmer Lawrie chairman & managing director Viren Sinha said: "The major focus would be on the automotive retail business, which will drive growth and profitability. This would be done by leveraging and rapidly expanding the distribution network in focused markets and effective brand building."

Incidentally, the company, a miniratna public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas with a turnover of Rs 2843 crore, is in the midst of enhancing and modernising its manufacturing facilities spread across India.
