Assam towns of Dibrugarh and Tinsukia to soon get CNG fuel for automobile

GUWAHATI: Upper Assam towns of Dibrugarh and Tinsukia will soon get CNG fuel for automobile. This proposal is awaiting clearance of Public Investment Board (PIB).

Assam Gas Company Limited ( AGCL) is planning to launch the CNG project in Upper Assam area. Assam is yet to have CNG connection.

Managing Director, Bhupen Borpatragohain told ET, " Dibrugarh town has lot of commercial vehicle and operational cost will be very less as town is near to our operational area Duliajan."

The project will come up within a year from the date of clearance from the PIB.
