Aramco Trading sells 10 million bbls Khafji crude to Asian refiners, sources say

Aramco Trading has sold about 10 million barrels of Khafji crude to Asian refiners in a tender closed on Tuesday, trade sources said.

Following are some details of the tender result:

* South Korea's GS Caltex and China's Shenghong Petrochemical each bought 2 million barrels.


* India's Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd, Indian Oil Corp and Reliance each bought 2 million barrels.

* The oil is for loading via ship-to-ship transfers at Fujairah in late October to November. Some of the deals were concluded at a discount of $8 per barrel to November Dubai benchmark.

* The companies typically do not comment on their commercial trades.

* This is the third tender by Aramco Trading for the Khafji crude in about two weeks time. The previous two tenders were awarded to China and India.
