Alfa Laval India bags Rs 70-cr project from PetroVietnam Group

Alfa Laval India has secured a Rs 70-crore project from Vietnam-based PetroVietnam Group for supplying equipment and engineering solutions for the latter's ethanol process plant.

MUMBAI: Alfa Laval India, the Indian arm of Swedish Alfa Laval Group, has secured a Rs 70-crore project from Vietnam-based PetroVietnam Group for supplying equipment and engineering solutions for the latter's ethanol process plant.

The delivery is scheduled for 2010 and the plant, which will produce fuel ethanol, is expected to go on stream during 2011, Alfa Laval India said in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday.

Alfa Laval's heat exchangers, decanters and tank cleaning equipment will be used in the plant, which is being set up in Northern Vietnam, the engineering solutions provider said.

Once ready, the plant will produce about 3.30 lakh litres per day of fuel ethanol.

On Friday, Alfa Laval India shares closed at Rs 1,235.30, up 3.13 per cent on the BSE. Trading on the BSE is closed today on account of 'Guru Nanak Jayanti.'
