Aegis plans 200 auto LPG stations over 2-3 years

Aegis Logistics Ltd has entered into auto liquefied petroleum gas business and is in the process of setting up 300 stations.

MUMBAI: Aegis Logistics Ltd has entered into auto liquefied petroleum gas business and is in the process of setting up 300 stations. These will be set up over 2-3 years in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

The auto LPG will be sold under brand name Aegis Autogas. The company has 22 operational auto gas stations, and 85-90 sites are under various stages of construction.

The company recently commissioned outlets at Davagere and Udupi in Karnataka, Chinchwad and Alandi in Maharashtra and the latest at Panvel. The company expects outlets at Valsad, Bavla, Dharampur and Patan in Gujarat, Fatehnagar and Rajsamand in Rajasthan, Shimoga and Mysore in Karnataka to commence shortly.

Aegis is a leader in oil and gas logistics. The company owns and operates 20,000 million tonne refrigerated gas terminal at Trombay in Mumbai through which it has been importing, marketing and distributing bulk LPG and propane in the western region. It has production capacity of about 2,50,000 million tonne of gas annually, including both LPG and propane.
