Indian Oil to set up 10,000 EV charging stations in next 3 years

In a push for the EV ecosystem in India, state-owned Indian Oil to set up 10,000 EV charging stations over the next three years.

IOC plans to set up 10,000 electric vehicle charging stations in next three years
State-owned petroleum refining company Indian Oil today said that it will be setting up 10,000 EV charging stations over the next three years.

“We will be setting up 10,000 EV charging stations in the next three years," SM Vaidya, Chairman, Indian Oil Corporation said. The company, which is currently into the production and distribution of fuels like petrol, diesel & LPG, looks to target the developing electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem in India.

“2000 EV charging stations will be established in the next 12 months and another 8000 in the next two years to achieve target of 10,000 EV charging stations in the next three years," added SM Vaidya.
