SC stays Rajasthan HC order on tobacco, gutka selling

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court today stayed a Rajasthan High Court judgment that restrained gutka, tobacco and paan masala manufacturers from selling their products in plastic sachets.

A bench headed by Justice B N Agrawal also issued notices to Rajasthan Government, Jaipur Municipal Corporation and two NGOs - Indian Asthma Care Society and Jaipur Citizens Committee -- on three petitions filed by gutka manufacturers.
