Remy Cointreau fiscal 2006/2007 sales rise 0.6 pct

In a statement, the maker of Remy Martin cognac and Cointreau orange liqueur said sales were 785.4 million euros ($1.07 billion), up from a pro-forma 780.6 million euros in fiscal 2005/06.

PARIS: - French wines and spirits group Remy Cointreau said on Tuesday sales in its financial
year ending March 31 rose 0.6 percent and maintained a forecast for doublel digit growth in current operating profit.
In a statement, the maker of Remy Martin cognac and Cointreau orange liqueur said sales were 785.4 million euros ($1.07 billion), up from a pro-forma 780.6 million euros in fiscal 2005/06. Underlying like-for-like sales grew 3.7 per cent, it said.
Analysts had on average expected sales of $784.0 million euros, according to Reuters Estimates.
