McDowell's ropes in Farhan Akhtar as brand ambassador

NEW DELHI: United Spirits Ltd today said it has signed up Bollywood actor and director Farhan Akhtar as the brand ambassador for McDowell's No. 1.

"Bollywood star and director, Farhan Akhtar, will endorse McDowell's No. 1 for its Soda extension," it said in a statement.

Akhtar, along with Purab Kohli, Cyrus Sahukar, Zoa Morani and Chang, would feature in a TV commercial going on air this week.

Explaining the reason for choosing these brand ambassadors, United Spirits Ltd President and MD Ashok Capoor said, "McDowell's No. 1 represents the social aspirations of today's youth.

"Spending time with friends is paramount for them. The McDowell's No. 1 group of friends --- our new brand ambassadors from Bollywood --- echo these sentiments and situations that anyone can easily identify with," he added.
