Diageo plans bartender training
Mumbai Diageo is planning to take the format to Delhi and other parts of the country.

that.” Given the rate of growth of liquor industry, Adil feels that the employment opportunity that it is creating is not enough and the bartending academy aims at bridging that gap.
During the six-month course, participants will firstly be trained on the basics of beverages including alcoholic and non-alcoholic; next they will be trained on mixology, deco-rating the drink, mechanics and economics of
running a bar, designing the menu, customer experience and finally the social responsibility involved with drinking.
Mumbai Diageo is planning to take the format to Delhi and other parts of the country. Besides restaurants, bartenders are in demand on crew ships and even in countries like Dubai where though the consumption of liquor is high, trained bartenders are missing and a certified bartender from Diageo holds good promise.
