BHOPAL: Liquor brand Bagpiper, which is endorsed by actor Ajay Devgan, has registered sales close to 14 million cases in FY'08, a 15 per cent growth in the western region during the period.
Bagpiper brand is growing steadily in western region with significant contribution in its growth, an official of United Spirits said on the occasion of 'Bagpiper Muquaddar ka Sikandar' contest in the presence of Bollywood actor and brand ambassador Ajay Devgan.
The brand has registered over 15 per cent growth in the western region, the official said.
Later, Devgan, when asked on the Union Health Minister's advice to the film stars not to endorse liquor and tobacco products, said, "I agree that consumption of liquor is not good, but it is bad for those who doesn't have control over themselves after drinking it."
Devgan also handed over a 'Hunk' bike carrying his signature to the winner of the contest from Bhopal, Ramgopal Jain, on the occasion.
