Allied Blenders & Distillers strengthens leadership team

Bengaluru: Allied Blenders & Distillers, the maker of Officer's Choice whiskey and Jolly Roger rum, has appointed Jayathirtha Mukund as head of investor relations and chief risk officer, the company said on Wednesday.

The company is in the process of launching an initial public offering.

Mukund will be responsible for investor management and relations, risk management practices and environmental, social and governance reporting. His experience will also be instrumental in enhancing the company's risk strategies and enabling best practices in compliance.


“We are focused on being 'future ready' and welcome Mukund on board,” Alok Gupta, managing director, Allied Blenders & Distillers, said in a statement.

Mukund was earlier associated with Raymond, Reliance Communications, Adventity Global Services, Vodafone Essar, Stratcap Securities (India) and Zuari Cement.

Allied Blenders & Distillers is the largest Indian-owned Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) company in the country. It was the third largest IMFL company in India in terms of annual sales volumes between FY14 and FY22.

The company said it looks forward to strengthening its position in the market and driving sustainable growth.
