Turtle to increase international footprints
Turtle would expand its international footprint by going to to Bangladesh, Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka, South Africa and other South East Asian countries.
"It is more about getting eyeballs rather than talking about returns from the new markets. While we earn 3% from the current Middle East markets, and would be keen to expand our kitty, we are more focussed on learning fashion trends from those markets. Duabi getts international fashion faster than India and serves to us as a great learning platform," he told ET.
Present in over 400 cities in India, the brand has seen the domestic market grow 35% y-o-y. The international market for the brand has been growing almost at the same pace, he said.
The company clocked a revenue of Rs 122 crore in FY 11-12 and expects the same level of growth this year and has set a target of Rs 160 cr for FY 12-13. Turtle is present in the middle east regions of Sharjah, Dubai, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi.
