SIMA gets new Vice-Chairman

J Thulasidharan has been unanimously elected as vice-chairman of the Southern India Mills' Association.

COIMBATORE: J Thulasidharan has been unanimously elected as vice-chairman of the Southern India Mills' Association (SIMA) for the year 2006-07.

He was elected to the post at a meeting of the SIMA Committee held at Chennai on June 28 last.

S V Arumugam continues to be Chairman of the association, as his tenure ends only next year, a SIMA release said on Tuesday.

Thulasidharan, Managing Director, Rajaratna Mills Ltd, Palani Taluk, is currently chairman of SIMA Cotton Development and Research Association and has made significant contribution for developing new cotton seeds, improving cotton production through SIMA and various State and Central Government Projects, it said.
