India aims to achieve $100 billionfrom textiles exports in the next five years and bring in more schemes in this regard, said Darshana Vikram Jardosh, minister of state for textiles on Thursday.

The minister was speaking at the inauguration of TEXCON: The 13th edition of the International Conference on Textiles & Apparel organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry.

“We will remain committed to ensure implementation of all development schemes and bring in many more schemes in pursuit of this aspiration,” she said.


At the same event, textile secretary Upendra Prasad Singh said that India is capable to meet the domestic as well as the global market demands.
