Hantex targets Rs.25 crore sales during Ramzan-Onam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala State Handloom Weavers Co-operative Society Ltd ( HANTEX) has drawn up a plan to achieve a sales target of Rs.25 crores during the Ramzan- Onam festive season, Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty said here today.

Speaking after the state-wide inauguration of Ramzan-Onam Fare here, he said Hantex would put up exhibitions in all the districts and would open 130 sales outlet across the state.

The government would increse the assitance given to Societies with an objective to provide quality clothes to people at a reasonable price, he said. The textile sector in the state was on the verge of a major change, he said.

A comprehensive development strategy for Handloom sector was under the active consideration of the government, he said. New marketing techniques would be introduced, he said.
